I think we finally came to a compromise on the nursery!
We've had the girl stuff picked out for a few weeks now, but for a boy we just couldnt agree. DH really wanted a NY Yankees theme, but I couldnt find anything I liked thats not either too babyish or too grown-up. Today I did a search on HGTV and saw a room I loved!
How does this sound?:
Our furniture is cherry just so you know. I'm thinking of a sweatshirt gray color on the walls. The wall behind the crib we would add white pinstripes for a focal point. Then we'd do navy blue accents around the room -- the curtains, the wall letters, etc. And I'm thinking a vintage-y Yankees theme to the room...so we'd get b&w pictures of Babe Ruth and some other great players and have them framed in cherry frames to match the furniture.
Here are the two bedding choices (not sure which I like better):

OR
And we'd add some vintage baseball accessories throughout the room.
What do you think? And which bedding?

I love the first bedding choice - to me, it has more of a vintage-y feel to it.
Would you mind posting your girl choices? We are in the idea-gathering stages right now.

For a girl we chose to do Glenna Jean Coco bedding with a warm beige wall color and light pink accents around the room. If we have a girl, I'll pick up vintage-y accessories to put around the room also.
I guess I really like the vintage look
The bedding is in my "pregnancy" album. Its the 8th picture in that album.

If DH and I were having a boy, I was going with the second bedding to do a yankee theme

i love the first set by itself... but for a yankees theme would probably go with the second set.
