Question about washing baby clothes?
I bought a bottle of Dreft to wash the clothes. Today I bought dryer sheets (Bounce). I got them from BRU and they are dermatologist recommenend with no perfume or dyes. Do you think it is okay to use them? Or should I just use Dreft? I was worried I would have alot of static cling if I didn't use anything.

Re: Question about washing baby clothes?
If they were at BRU I would expect they'd be okay to use...

Re: Question about washing baby clothes?
I used fragrance free/dye free Downy- you don't have to use "baby detergent or fabric softner" per say

Re: Question about washing baby clothes?
I always washed my newborns clothes with mine using regular laundry detergent.

Re: Question about washing baby clothes?
You're not supposed to use dryer sheets b/c it removes the flame retardant chemicals from the clothes. You need to do what you feel comfortable with though.

That's correct...
I didn't wash her clothing in anything but Dreft in the beginning, and then once she was around 4 months old, I introduced her to free & clear detergent, and then after that bottle ran out, i brought her clothing into the world of softeners.....
Her clothes are soooooooooooooooooo much softer now.

Re: Question about washing baby clothes?
I use the all free & clear... have from day one... i also do use the dryer sheets... otherwise the clothes just stick together.... I am bad in that i never prewash the clothing... mainly because he grows so fast that half the clothing never makes it on him (he is in 18 month clothes at 4 months)
