When was the 1st time you left your dc overnight? Were you paranoid?

We have a weekend wedding to go to in Seattle at the end of August. Our son is due June 9th. I am trying to figure out if we should take the baby along (plane ride) or if we should leave him w/ our inlaws in VA. hmmm... I wonder if we will be able to enjoy ourselves if we leave him behind?

We didn't leave our DS until he was 15 months old. BUT we didn't have a reason to, you know?

If I had a life, and something to do earlier, I would have left him earlierChat Icon

5 months with my mom for 2 nights, not paranoid at all. I knew he would be fine and my parents would love having him.

However, DH and I found he was all we could talk about Chat Icon

We left Kaydyn for the nite on our anniversary. She was 10 months old. We didn't have a reason to leave her anywhere earlier.

I hate to say it but I wouldn't go.... you'll be sleep deprived, pumping, and worried Chat Icon

I went to a local wedding at about 4 weeks.... and we were a bit out of it and left within 2 hours from our arrival....

I am not breastfeeding so that won't be an issue.

I left my son alone last weekend for the first time. He is 3.

The opportunity never came up! I wouldn't personally be comfortable at all leaving a child under one, but thats just me.
