Do you watch the Weather Channel?
I was having a discussion with my boss, whose wife is American, and we were discussing a few differences between Americans and Australians.
One thing that came up was about how Americans like their weather. I then mentioned that when I was living at home and there was a bad storm our family would watch the Weather Channel. He said his in-laws did as well.
The Weather Channel here is a joke compared to the US Weather Channel. I said I think it is an American thing, us Americans love the Weather Channel.
So do you watch the Weather Channel or something like it?

No, I don't watch it. I look out the window in the morning and decide how to dress. DH turns the weather on every morning while getting dressed.

actually yes! I love the weather channel.. so I don't have to wait for the news to see what the weather is going ot be like and also it's fun (for me) to see what the weather is like in other parts of the country lol, maybe I'm weird.

Sometimes, but I think it also depends where you live. When I lived in Key West EVERY store, bar, restaurant...EVERYWHERE had at least 2 tv's because 1 was dedicated to TWC. Don't even get me started if there was a storm approaching 5 days before it was projected to hit all local channels became wx channels and they would talk and show the same video 80000000 times of previous storms. It was so annoying

YUP!! My brother is a meterologist, so I grew up with the weather channel on in my house all the time. Now its just habit to put it on every morning before I get in the shower, and to watch it everynight before going to bed!

I miss the American Weather Channel. Here they have big boobed girls saying temps in Celsius, which I just can't get used to. Yeah, 40 degrees means what to me? Say Fahrenheit for G-ds sake. It is so damn hot here, I can't take it. And I don't care what kind of drought (well, yes I do, b/c I have to pay for $$$ water), the dam levels are at like 40%. We never get any rain here. It is such a constant worry, don't water your gardens, don't shower blah blah. Hello, I smell.
Seriously I blame England. Why did people even decide to stay here? So many snakes and spiders that kill you, wasn't that a sign from above?
Sorry for the rant, I've been drinking and just bitter.
