Playing in bed all of a sudden?
Please tell me this is a phase!
Andrew is (was) such a good sleeper and last night and tonight, we did the same bedtime routine as we have been for at least a year and now he stays up til 10pm playing with his Gloworm and his other stuffed animal. He isnt crying, just restless...
He ALWAYS would fall asleep within 10 minutes tops.

As long as he's not up crying, I wouldn't worry about it!

I try not to, but since day 1 with him, I cannot for the life of me relax until I know he is asleep.

Try to think of it this way.....it's GREAT that he's comfortable enough in his crib to play there until he gets tired.

Re: Playing in bed all of a sudden?
OMG-my ds has been doing the same thing with his naps!! he usually falls asleep in like 10 minutes, but lately has been in his crib playing and not sleeping! This started 3 days ago and it's driving me crazy because he hasn't had more than a 15 or 20 minute nap in the car(all day)! What could be going on??

Jake has been doing the same for a while...first he sits and talks to himself and plays with the tags on his taggies blanket, then he takes his socks off and throws them out of the crib then stands up and stares at them...thank god for baby monitors then other days, he lays right down and just goes to sleep. I like that he doesnt need anyone to put him to sleep, he just does when he is ready. Bella did the same thing, still does sometimes sings and talks to herself at rest/naptime! It doesnt mean Andrew isnt a good sleeper anymore...he still is, sleeping through the night is the main thing, which he does, so dont worry!
