Never...there hasn't been a storm on LI in my lifetime that I wasn't able to run to the store during or after to get something I might need.

If we are getting a big storm, I like to make a big comfort meal...roast chicken dinner or pork tenderloin, etc..so I run to the store for those things...not for bread, milk, etc

No, but I had to go on Friday because we were out of everything, and I had to go across the street to another supermarket because my supermarket was out of chicken and red peppers.
My idea of a good snowstorm meal is a bowl of macaroni, and I usually always have that stuff on hand anyway.

No. I try to avoid the stores at all costs when there's a storm coming. I went today and it wasn't too bad because everyone went Friday and yesterday morning.

No. Big storms don't scare me.
I remember a few years ago when we had a St. Valentines day blizzard, while everybody was supposedly "snowed in", I took the opportunity to hit up a nice restaurant that would have been jam packed otherwise.
Had a nice quiet and romantic dinner.

I went on Saturday because DH is on a diet & we needed things he can eat. It was packed.
Our house has well water so we always have tons of water just in case. We also have a big pantry that has enough non perishables for at least a week.

No - but the panic shoppers DO mess with my schedule. For example - I would normally go on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning to do my regular shopping. HOWEVER - I went early Saturday because I knew if I went any later I would encounter long lines and empty milk shelves. I was there at 7:30 am and by the time i left the lines were already getting loooong.

 But you have a rope to hold onto that extends from your building to the store so you don't get lost in the squall....

No....The stores were a madhouse this weekend....I was out driving at the start of the storm and on Sunday...it wasn't as bad as the forecasters said it would be.

What also makes me laugh is that we went out on Saturday night and the restaurants were PACKED.
Seriously it was crazy.
So everyone had to rush on Friday night and Saturday morning to stock up on food for fear of being snowed in, but they all braved the big "STORM" to go out to dinner that night.
