Doubt it but- Does anyone own a Kodak Z1012IS ??
We recently bought this camera , which was top rated by Consumer Reports blah blah blah, and seems to get really good feedback from the camera store ( not the one we bought from) and online etc...just printed out my pics today and I'm so dissapointed with them ...We must not have the right settings on or something- With the new baby coming, I really wanted to be happy with my camera and wish I could figure this thing out ( we only have 3 days to do it in !) By chance, anyone else have it ??

I use the Nikon forum here & everyone always seems to be very helpful:

I have the 8mp version of that camera and I love it. Do you have it on the highest MP setting and on auto? Sometimes I accidentally have it on ISO and the pics are all grainy.

We "think' we have it set to 10MP...The booklet is really vague, I'll have to play with it and make sure...And I'm pretty sure it is on automatic ( as you can tell I'm technologically challenged )
Maybe you know the answer to this also:
According to the manual, there should be a setting in the set-up menu to correct red-eye...Both DH and I have spent forever looking for it and as far as we can see it doesnt exist ...Are we missing it somehow... ( I would have thought it would be in teh "perfect touch technology thingy" )

I agree about the manual, it's pretty bad.
On my camera the MP displays on the top of the screen, next to the flash icon, etc. If you don't have those details, push the "i" button and it should display on the screen. Also, just a tip, you can take continuous pictures if you turn "quickview" OFF. That way the pic doesn't process and display right after you take it and you are able to immediately take another pic.
The red eye function, I don't see that on my camera, you can set the flash for the red eye reduction. My previous camera had the ability to take out the red out when viewing the pic, but it took forever to do and I honestly found it easier to just do it with the software when you upload the pics.

Thanks for the tip w/ the quick-view-That totally makes sense so i'm going to do that
My last camera was a Sony and when i had the red-eye reduction on- the delay made me nuts, hence missing like every good shot, so I'm trying to avoid using it if I can - I am so sure that one of the perks w/ this camera was supposed to be able to take red-eye out while in the camera , but so far no luck....I get my pics processed at Costco, so I havent even uploaded the software yet...it looks like I ight have to go that route i guess...
Sorry for all the questions ....As for the batteries, I'm big on re-chargeables and this camera only takes the Li-On ...I ordered one set w/ charger from Kodak ( Klic-8000) and was hoping to buy another set of rechargables locally- no luck...Know of any places that sell those ? ( I checked the local camera store and they talked DH into Ni-MH which supposedly won't work very well with the camera)...Errrr...Thanks !!
