LOTS of small meals frequently throughout the day. Keep crackers by your bed and pop one or two before you even get out of bed in the AM. Take your prenatals at night if you're not doing so already - they can cause nausea. Water with a squeeze or two of lemon really helped me through - drank that for the first 13 weeks of my pregnancy and it worked like a charm.

Good luck - it will get better!

Re: I think ...

my nausea was so bad between week 4 and 6.5... it seems to have subsided now at 8 weeks.but i had the same thing as you and i would get it at midnight and it would last till 5 am!!!

the only thing i would do to help it i know it sounds silly but i would drink a carnation instant breakfast (chocolate) with LOTS of ice and it seemed to really help!!! because my stomach was empty and sour and it was heavy enough to settle it HTH!!!

one HUGE thing is do NOT lay down within 30 - 40 minutes after eating - the food will work its way back up on you that way....

crackers are a GREAT idea...they will help 'soak up any excess acid'...

TUMS smoothies are a God send.. (and i'm talking, i want to buy a BFF necklace and give the Tums Smoothies bottle half the heart)...

LOADS of water!

Re: I think ...

Awww Tara Chat Icon I was hoping you wouldnt get it at all.

The puke burping is normal -- I've been struggling with that for the past week. I get all day sickness, but night seems to be the worst. I cant actually throw up, but I feel like I have to allllll the time.

The best thing thats worked for me (although nothing has really helped all that much) is keeping crackers in a ziplock baggie -- one by the bed and one in my purse at all times. I find that I need about 2 crackers before bed and two or three when I wake up.

Small meals frequently throughout the day help a little. You'll find that you feel hungry every hour or two, and when you feel hungry, you feel nauseous. So, eat as SOON as you feel hungry. I can only keep carbs down right now (crackers, a bagel, toast, plain pasta). And coke seems to be one of the only things that soothes my stomach. So, I know we're not supposed to have caffeine, but I sip a glass of coke throughout the day -- its the only way I can get a liquid down.

I hope it passes for us both soon. It really makes it hard to enjoy being pregnant. I'm going into my second week of m/s and im slowly becoming miserableChat Icon I'm always sick and cant even do simple things like clean my house...I'm practically bed-riden most of the time.

i have the same "form" of MS. not really throwing up, but lots of puke burping and SO nauseous all the time.

i've started taking zantac and it has helped.

also, don't let yourself get hungry. munch/sip on stuff all the time (crackers, etc) because letting your stomach empty out makes it a lot worse.

i am finding that fruit helps in the morning. i keep an apple on my night table and eat about half of it before even getting up in the morning.

today i'm also going to go get some pudding - stuff that goes down easy and brings your blood sugar up relatively quickly will be helpful. carnation instant breakfast also has that effect.

ETA: i forgot to say - best advice i got last pregnancy was eat ANYTHING that makes you feel better. for a couple days i survived on oreos and milk. then for a good week i could only eat apples, bananas, and almonds. then there was another night that i had (the forbidden!) sushi, and plenty of nights when i had (the also forbidden!) subway italian subs. and you know what - i have a perfectly healthy baby boy now. so during this phase i wouldn't worry about what you're actually putting in your mouth as long as it makes you feel better!! Re: I think ...

i had it more towards night, and more of the gagging without actual puking. See if you can find a cracker you like(perhaps a rice cracker) that you can nibble on
