I have it again...
Tested pos. for GD again...back to the diet and checking my blood...
And I thought I wouldnt get it this time since I have been watching what I eat and havent gained as much as I did with my first. Guess that doesn't matter.
Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm not sure how much weight you gain has anything to do with it. I'm 29 weeks and have only gained 14lbs, and today is day 2 for me testing my blood sugar.

sorry!!
I had last pregnancy and thought I for sure I would have again.. I dont think there really is any thing you can do to prevent from getting or cause to getting.. its just something that happens or doesnt.

That's exactly what I was told yesterday when I met with the nutrionist. She said it's nothing I did or didn't do in terms of diet, excercise, etc. She did say that age also plays a big part in it, and believe it or not once you are over 25, then you are at more of a risk for GD. I was actually surprised by that number because 25 to me is so young!

They are making me go back to the dietician and all that stuff. I didn't think I had to since I already did all that.

WOW, 25 is old, then I must be ancient
My Dr. also said that I need to watch out when I get older because I can get adult onset diabetis...
They make you so crazy

yes, my first. It's annoying, but it is what is, I'm in the home stretch of my pregnancy now. I guess they have you going again, because they have to, to cover themselves, kwim?
