Do you think it's worth it?

My DH and I have been thinking about joining a Costco or Sam's Club before the baby is born. We are thinking that it might be more convenient for shopping and maybe more cost effective. I know that buying certain things there isn't always, but what about diapers, wipes, toilet paper, etc?

If you belong to one of those, which items do you buy?? Thanks!!

definitely get a free pass and check them out!

we belong to BJ's, and i buy diapers, wipes, formula, paper items (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, etc.) and meats to freeze on a regular basis. prices are sometimes better, sometimes not, however you save by stocking up and not making so many trips to get things (provided you have the storage space).

they also have toys, books, seasonal items that i've been known to buy as well. i considered a costco membership as well, but i've heard that BJ's has a better selection for baby goods so i've stuck with them for now...

We belong to Costco and we always get our toilet paper, paper towels, and baby wipes (DH likes to keep em in the bathroom- we like a clean coolie) there.

Re: Do you think it's worth it?

We belong to BJs..and some of the major things we go for are...
Solo cups (16 oz i think...like the beer cups from high school/college!!)
paper plates
napkins
paper towels
toielt paper
ceral
granola bars
soap
razors
laundry detergent
maxi pad and tampons (when needed!!)
and we will hope to now buy wipes, diapers and formula

We dont do a lot of "food shopping" there..sometimes we will pick up kraft chees singles or yogurts... it depends...but it can eb great to buy in bulk and you need to know your prices!

We belong to both Costco and BJ's ( was there today a matter of fact Chat Icon ) We buy a bulk of our shopping there from baby items, to meat honestly...IMO - its a godsend...And just this year we signed up for the "Executive Membership" at Costco- its a little more $ than the traditional membership, but you earn reward $ every time you shop and at the end of the year they send you a check that can be used at Costco ( mine was for like $ 110 , so it basically payed for my membership and then some Chat Icon ...definately worth it IMO !

I have both a Costco and a BJ's card.

We buy:

1. Toilet Paper
2. Paper Towels
3. Bottled water
4. Juice
5. Cleaning supplies
6.Vitamins
7. Fruit
8. Big Size Seasonings
9. Rice
10. Olive Oil

I am sure after baby is born, we will buy diapers, wipes, formula etc.

Re: Do you think it's worth it?

We belong to Sams Club & Costco. We do a huge chunk of our grocery shopping at Sam's Club. In fact, I rarely go into normal supermarkets anymore (between Sam's Club & Target). Its so worth it, especially on baby stuff!!

Re: Do you think it's worth it?

We have been planning to join BJ's since that is what is closest to us. It's on our very long list of things to still do!
