My doc appt. today.
I had my weekly doc. appt. today and I am 1cm dilated. He also set up my induction date and time. So....I will be a mommy of 2 next week (friday). I go in at 5:45am. Now I'm starting to get nervous

How exciting!! Can I ask why you are getting induced? I would LOVE for this to happen, but there has to be a reason right? I went to the dr yesterday, and was having contractions, but I am only a *little more* than 1 cm dilated.

Ok some might not agree with this and may say let the baby come when she is ready BUT I discussed things with my doctor and am happy about my decision. I had an induction with DD and it went perfectly.
Anyway, I am being induced because I want MY doctor to deliver DD not another doctor in the practice so he said he would be more than happy to induce me. It has to be a week early so that my chances of going into labor before then are not as great. Before DD I had 3 m/c's and fertility treatments to have her. He was so happy and excited when I finally had my DD. This pregnancy I got pregnant on my own and we didn't think it was going to last but it did. He has seen me weekly and is the nicest, most caring doctor I have ever met. I couldn't imagine anyone else delivering this baby.
(Now watch, this baby will have a mind of her and come in the next couple of days when he's not on call )

That's great that the dr will do this. I don't look down upon this at all. And its great that you know when its going to happen, especially with having another little one at home!!
I hope the baby stays in so the dr can deliver.
