Should I be worried?

I just got back from my overnight trip to Boston. Both yesterday and today, I have not really felt the baby. I was running around constantly-- so my activities were definitely more out of the ordinary.

Now-- I don't feel the baby constantly normally, but it has definitely been more than what I have felt in the last 36 hours or so. And if I do feel something, it is SO subtle-- which is strange because I have felt the baby getting stronger lately.

We took the train up-- and yesterday on the train, my belly was really uncomfortable. Like, every time I moved, I felt like I was pulling something. Nothing painful, just uncomfortable.

Am I just being a worry wart? I have tried laying on my left side, and it doesn't seem to be stimulating anything.

I love you said SHE! Chat Icon

OJ is not an option... I am f*cking pooped and am so not going out to get OJ. I did have grapefruit juice this morning and it did not have the affect that I was hoping for.

Re: Should I be worried?

I am 26 weeks now (just a tiny bit ahead of you) and had the same issue last week. I was feeling the baby more often and then suddenly, for two days straight, I didn't feel her as much and got worried. The whole laying on my left side didn't work for me, nor did drinking something sweet. I've had days where the baby was less active, but it's usually just for a day and then the next day she is active again. But this was two days in a row so I called the doctor and he checked me out and all was ok. As pickles said, I think there are just days when the baby is less active or when the baby is in a position where you can't feel him/her as well.

When in doubt, you should always call your doctor, but I'm sure all is fine and the baby is just resting since you had some very active days. I think that your activity level being different during the last few days probably has a lot to do with it.

Re: Should I be worried?

I had this same issue too...they def have quieter and more active days. They say when we are more active we lull them to sleep more! Def get some ice cold OJ in the morning and drink a big glass and lay on your left side. You should feel the baby in no time. Sometimes this works with a big glass of very cold water as well.
