My new tat...
OK - bear in mind this was taken with a camera phone, and its all glossy from the bacitracin. It's on my left shoulder blade. I will show a better picture if you guys are interested.
The pic does it no justice. The colors and the design are stunning. Civ from Lotus tattoo did it....
Its a turtle, with an om symbol inside. but I wanted to incorporate motherhood, so if you look closely, a woman is cradling the om symbol. There are flames going out from the om symbol as well... very involved...

Its used in many eastern religions, but we practice Buddhism - we have Om symbols on our wedding bands!!!
There is a universal sound of the universe that connects all living beings - its the Om sound. That is why "Home" and "mom" have a comforting feeling to it - there is somehting very connecting and grounding to those types of sounds...
