Round Ligament pain

I have been having a sharp pain in my left side and then goes to my back since last Monday. I thought it was a cyst on my ovary. I went to my ob/gyn on Thurs. as an emergency b/c the pain was killing me. The doctor thought it was a UTI and checking for a kidney stone. I then had an appt. with my Perinatalogost and he thought the same. I have been on Microbid since last Thurs. The pain has been horrible and is not getting any better. Last night I couldn't even sleep the pain was like a stabbing pain. Tonight I called my OB/GYn b/c I can't take this anymore and he had me come in. My urine test came back fine so he doesn't think it is a kidney stone. The babies are doing well, my uterine lining is great. My ob/gyn called my perinatalogist to go over what they think it could be and they now think it is Round Ligament stretching and some possible scar tissue stretching from a Laparoscopy I had a year ago. I am going for a renal sonogram tomorrow to def. rule out a stone. Is anybody familiar with this pain? What did you do for your pain? TIA


** The one positive thing about all these appt. is that I have had the chance to see my little babies again!!

I had the worst RLP with G. This time it is not as bad. The only thing I could do was try not to tense up when it happens, and take deep slow breaths.
