Severe indigestion in 3rd trimester
Did anyone start to get severe indigestion in their 3rd trimester? I have heard of it before...but my question...does it usually last until you deliver? I think I know the answer to this, but I would LOVE to hear a different answer

I had terrible heartburn throughout my pregnancy but, just my luck, it got worse as soon as I hit the 3rd trimester. I talked to the dr. about it and he said to take Pepcid AC. If that didn't work then he would prescribe me something. Luckily the Pepcid has worked like a charm. However, now that I am in my last week (or days..I hope) the heartburn has gotten WORSE! I can't lay flat at night. I have to sleep propped up on pillows so I don't puke in my mouth (so nasty). It's a pretty constant burning feeling, even when I take the Pepcid.

you mean diahrea following eating virtually anything? yeah, i had that in the early 30's weeks.... then it paradoxically went away as fast as it came 
sometime, I still get it. it will last 90 min following eating, and then it disappears.
go figure........

I had horrible heartburn with DD and took Zantac - which became my best friend. With this pregnancy I get it once and a while, but not like with her so far. There were a few times I woke up in the middle of the night coughing because the reflux went into my lungs.
I would ask your dr. if you can take something - it makes a world of difference!

SAME HERE!!! ZANTAC WORKED WONDERS WITH MY DD!!!! find out if you can take it and it really will help!!! my doctor was okay with taking it.

Yup, this has to be the WORST part of my pregnancy. I never knew this was a big issue until it started happening and they it seems like everyone has it to some extent. I finally asked my doctor about it after Tums and Pepcid stopped working. She prescribed Nexium and it has been a life saver. I still have mild indigestion at night, but the acid is no longer there so I just feel really full. The only good news is that it goes away as soon as you deliver. I can't wait!!!
