BC question
Hello all, I am new to the boards.
I had a question about birth control. Did any of you find that BC effected you getting pregnant? I am on birth control and we are thinking about having a baby in the future and I have heard that after being on BC you may have to stay off of it a few months before you can conceive. Do any of you think this is true.

I've had the same concerns with BC. I've been on it for almost 10 years due to PCOS. I've asked my doctor about it and he said that it is not true. He actually told me that you are most fertile right when you discontinue taking it. Every person is different, though.

I was on BC for 10 years. I went off BC for 3 months before TTC. The first month I got PG.

I have never been in this situation, but I know many, many people that were on BC and went off to have another child and they got pregnant immediately. I think some people it can be quick and others it can take time.

Thanks for your replies... I always get nervous that it is bad to take birth control. For having children and also health risks, heart disease, etc. I always fight with myself whether I should take it or not.
