I have always wanted 3, but it took me longer to be ready to TTC #2 (DD will be 2 in November and we still haven't started trying - I thought I'd be ready by the time she was 1.) That annoying clock is ticking and I'm not sure I'll have time to have 2 more.  I'll see what happens with #2.

Our DS is almost 4 months old, and we plan on TTC # 2 within the next year. We would like to have # 3 about 2 years after that, and then close up shop 
We have similar plans...
I am definitely trying for #2 within the year. DH and I would love to have 3-4 children...but the more I think about it....the more I think that I can provide more for 2 than 4..ex. activities: sports, drama, dance etc.
I don't want to be in a place where I have to say no to something one of my children want to do because we can't afford it

We always said we just wanted two. I have a boy and a girl and I'm so happy with the two of them, but I do get a little sad sometimes as DD is getting older because I know that it's the last time I'll experience these baby things. Pretty sure we're done though!

It depends, really. If we have another child, and its a boy, I think we will stop there. However, if we have a girl, we might try for a 3rd.
I was 1 of 3, and I loved it- so who knows!
