Fast heart rate, 2nd trimester

Hello -

I am 20 weeks next Monday and last week I was getting sporadic flutters so my OB sent me to a cardiologist...wore a heart monitor for 24 hours and for a few seconds my heart rate reached 158..now they are making me wear a monitor for 14 days.....echo and cardiogram were perfect...anyone else experience this? Went back to OB for sono and baby is great...but mentally I am freaking out....Any advice is appreciated....

You can experience palpatations during PG. You are pumping more blood for yourself & your baby.

My guess is they are probably monitoring just to be sure.
