Life Insurance. Can I get a better quote?
My job offers a policy where I am covered for $100,000 and DH is covered for $50,000. I don't think this is a lot of coverage. DH and I really don't know much about life insurance, I feel so clueless about it. Can we get a better policy that covers us for more and where do go to get it? Thanks.

You most likely will be able to get a better deal/higher coverage on an individual policy.
DH and I got life insurance a few months ago and we used SelectQuote and found that they had reasonable rates. For us, it was a lot cheaper than what we could've gotten through work and we now have a lot more coverage.

if you are both in good health you should be able to do much better privately.
Life policies offered by employers are usually guaranteed issue which means not only are they approving people in good health, they are also approving smokers, high bp, choles. possible diseases, etc. that they would normally decline.
To be able to do that everyone in the group has to pay more.
