Spin off to having a cleaning lady

I assume that having a cleaing lady once a week is not in my budget but then again I have no idea of what one costs.

What is the average price for a cleaning lady to come once a week? I would have her vacum and mop hard wood floors.


Also, can you recommend your cleaning lady. I am on the south shore of suffolk...Oakdale area.

Before our house was redone, we had them just do the main floor which was a cape, clean, mop, 1 bathroom, vacum, dust, put dirty dishes in dishwasher and it was 50

Now that the house is bigger, its giong to be more.

I think 50-75 is a good price for an average size house.

We had htem clean once so far since our house was redone, and it was 200
So the price went up alot

I used to pay $50 for a 1 bedroom

now I pay $100 for a large 3 bedroom, 2 bath

I live in Queens- so the prices are normally alittle higher

I pay $80 every other week.. 2 ladies come in and they are here for 2 hrs, I have 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 story house.

Mine comes every other week and charges $70 for my three bedroom, 1.5 bath house.

$50 a week +/- for a freelancer.
I would recommend my mom's but she's all booked up. Hmmm.... maybe I should think about doing this while unemployed...
