sitting up (from laying down) on their own
At what age does this happen?
My DS has been trying to sit up for a while now but still needs help

Kaitee couldn't do this untill about 1 week after she crawled. So she was 6 1/2 months.

Noah did it right before he learned to stand...so I guess like 8 and 1/2 months

My dd is 6 1/2 m and i see no sign of this happening anytime soon. When shes sitting up unassited and falls back on a pillow i do see her trying to sit back up, but her stomach muscles arent quiet there yet.
Your dc will probable do once Dc core is strong enough to pull its self up.

DD is 9 1/2 months and still not doing this. She's not really crawling or pulling herself up yet, either.

DD is 8 1/2 months and is a bit lazy about this. She stands on her own but no pulling herself up from lying down and no crawling. Other kids in my family were the same way

DD was around 7.5 months, I remember it was near Thanksgiving

Ha. Almost a year and we still haven't seen that yet.
But it kind of makes me feel better that it goes along with standing b/c he hasn't done that yet on his own either yet.
