For those who have done accupuncture for IVF...

I picked up a pamphlet at my RE for LI Holistics (thats Andrea Huggler right ??)...I was wondering how often you generally go during an IVF cycle and approximately how much it costs ....Their office is a little far for me- so just wanted to get a heads up what I'm in for if I go for it...We are going on Wednesday and will most likely be starting BCP's then...

I just went for my first visit with Andrea this past week and I LOVED her! It is far for me too (Babylon), but I feel it will be worth it. There are certain times in your cycle where she sees you more frequently (I would imagine with IVF/IUI), but right now, she started me with 1X/week. My insurance doesn't cover it (Empire) so it was $95 for the first visit, and $65 for each additional visit. It's $$$$, but I'm hoping it's worth it in the long run. Good luck!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I think I did a consult first. Mine was covered by insurance so I didn't have to pay, but I think treatments are $80.

I went 2xs/week during my IVF treatment. I got pregnant and have a beautiful healthy baby. Not sure if it was because of her, but it certainly didn't hurt!

I had seen someone else my first IVF cycle, for months before.

With Andrea I actually started late, when I went on BCP. I saw her throughout my whole pregnancy actually, and even went to her to see if she could bring on labor (she couldn't - nobody could!!).

I love her....and feel that she helped me so much, perhaps with the acupuncture, or just the relaxation, or the chance to speak with her...I miss going...
