3 days to due date...went to the doctor
Hello Ladies
I went to the doctor today and there has been no progress...I am not dilating and no contractions. He did the stress test and the baby's heart beat is perfect but there wasn't too much movement,...so he did a sonogram to check amniotic fluid and movement and Baby O is very active and there is plenty of amniotic fluid.
Due to the limited space .. there is only two ways to know if the baby is as active as they want him/her to be 1. is sonogram and 2 is counting kicks...so ...I have to take time out every night to check the baby's movement. So after dinner I have to count 10 movements within 1 hour. If there is less than 10 movements then I have to call the doctor.
The baby is facing forward...which is not a great position.... the baby can move...but if he/she doesn't then I will have back labor.
My next appointment is Monday (due date) at 3:15pm ... he said "we'll plan out the week" whatever that means..lol
He also said that they will NOT induce me if the baby is active and there is plenty of amniotic fluid. Because 1. having contractions because they induced me is totally different than having nature takes it course...so they rather nature takes it course (AND I AGREE); 2. the chances of a c-section are higher if I get induced (doesn't mean I can't have a vaginal delivery if I get induced but the chances of it happening that way are less)
I decided to continue working as long as I can.... I know that I need my rest and I will try to do just that when I get home from work...but I am 7 minutes from home, I don't drive anymore and if I don't feel good I am blessed to have bosses that are ok with me leaving early because I'm dead tired. So why take away maternity leave time from being with Baby O.
So ladies..that's my update...God knows when this baby is coming and I'm ok waiting for that blessed day...until then..I will be walking, drinking teas, relaxing and doing all of those things that "supposedly" help things along. LMAO...even if doesn't work...its doesn't hurt. :)

Although there's no progression, I would say that all looks good and your baby is just not ready to come out yet.
I would continue doing what you're doing. So long as you and the baby are okay, he/she will be here before you know it and safely!

First I have to applaud you! You seem to have a great frame of mind and is dealing with this situation so calmly! Most people in your shoes would be climbing the walls to hear at 3 days before your due date there is no sign of labor.
Second, I have to applaud your doc for not forcing you into an induction or c-section. Not many OB's let nature take it's course anymore and it's great you have found one that does.
Hang in there, stay tough, and lean on us for any needed support!!

Oh ladies...thank you ...I am seriously blushing here
Don't get me wrong I can't wait to meet my little one and some days I want him/her out because I'm so tired...but in the end..I just want him/her to be healthy and to come out when he/she is ready.
And its GREAT having you ladies!!!

thanks for the update! i hope the baby comes soon! one of the pregnancy books i have (i think it might be the birth partner) has some suggestions for rotating a baby facing forward. i'll look when i get home from work.

Kudos to you. You have an excellent doctor. He is doing all of the right things for the right reason.
One position you can try to turn the baby posterior is a pelvic tilt. Get on your hands and knees, arch your back and flatten it out again. Make sure that you do not sag your back. It may also help to shake your hips as if you are wagging your tail in this position. HTH.
