We're Back, and with lots of Pictures!
Here's the skinny - the resort, Club Med Punta Cana, is stunning. Beautiful. Food is incredible. The daycare was phenomenal. The only drawback being that all the guests and all the staff were french, and they pretty much snubbed us from the moment we opened our mouths. Mental note, never ever bring an older child because they won't understand anything and won't be able to make any friends.
But, alas, our little Alex had a fabulous time! She charmed her teachers - by the end of our trip the entire staff knew her by name! She danced on stage at every show, she played in the pool, on the beach and every night stayed up late to, in her own words, "dance with the boys" in the bar  Yes, my little girl made three, count 'em, THREE boyfriends on this trip!
And, of course, the trip couldn't end peacefully - the drama in our lives never end. About an hour before we were supposed to leave the resort, Alex's eye stent popped out and about 3 inches of it was dangling out of her eye  Needless to say, she was hysterical. We ran over to the infirmary, patched up her eye so she wouldn't pull or tug on it, and went straight to the airport. The flight was delayed, of course, because of all the crappy weather in NY on Saturday (thank you very much!). We finally boarded the plane, and flew through those incredible, sickening, gusting winds. We finally land, run to the car, race home, get there at 11pm, only to discover our power had been out all day. The house was FREEZING, so DH lit a fire in the fireplace in the living room, we threw down a mattress on the floor and all cuddled together threw the night. Woke up, ran to the ER and had Alex's stent removed.
So, needless to say, I think I need another vacation

So adorable! I'm so jealous. We NEED a vacation so bad but have to wait for summer.
Alex looks like she had a blast. I wish we lived closer so our girls could have a playdate.

Yup. The little spunkmeister was a hit amongst the 3-4 year old, blonde, french boys. Thank GOD she won't blossom until those braces and glasses come off when she's older!
