Doesn't the job provide you with "AML" training...

Not at all...I don't deal with that kind of stuff...we do wire transfers on all of our transactions anyway.

They're totally supposed to do it...especially b/c you deal with Wire Transfers! I'm calling your Compliance dept...Chat Icon

Re: Craigslist Response - Do you think this is shady?

this is a scam!! first of all, beware of the bad grammar/poor English.

Second -- this is a really well known eBay scam where they send you a bad check for more than the amount, and have you send the extra back to them. Your back will probably deposit it in your account at first so you don't suspect anything, and then they realize it's a scam/something is wrong with the check after you already wrote your check. You can even be prosecuted.

Don't fall for this!

classic scam--they ask you to cash the check--and the check is in excess of the amount of the item---the check clears -- and you western union them the excess amount and kept the selling price for yourself--then a few weeks later you find out the check is a fraud or stolen.

don't do it. ask them to do paypal if you think its legit
