Step in if you're suffering at work

It's like a ghost town here. We have about 5 people in the office when we are normally above 60. How about that wind last night? I felt like I was in the wizard of oz.

There was no traffic today. I am sure on the way home there will be plenty due to all the crazy mall shoppers.

It was eerie when I stepped out of the house. No cars going past the house. The wind was blowing. It felt like I was in the day after tomorrow.

I got to work about 10 minutes earlier than usual today because of the lack of traffic. That's at least a nice start to a lousy day..... Chat Icon

It's bad here too. You know it's going to be a slow day, when the office is dark and you have to turn all the lights on your floor lol

Re: Step in if you're suffering at work

I have a question. If you're here today is it a normal holiday? At my job we have the option to work today and then we get an extra day. My wife gets an extra day and gets time and a half for today. I wish we got that. I need to write that in on my union ballot that I need to send out tomorrow.

When I got here this morning there was one car in the parking lot and all the lights were off in the building.

Re: Step in if you're suffering at work

I made it work in one hour - it normally takes 2. It would have taken less, but I had to run a couple of errands. Traffic was a breeze.

So far it's pretty quiet here - but it should pick up once everyone wakes up from sleeping in.

I am here too... I work in a hospital, so almost everyone is here.

There was NO traffic today though. OMG - I would kill for that to be my "normal" commute.

I work in the IT deptartment for a hospital. My program is used by the physicians and medical records so it is a light day today.
