I screwed up something on airline tickets! Is there ANYTHING I can do??

I screwed up something on airline tickets! Is there ANYTHING I can do??
Okay, I spent about 2 hrs online Friday night searching for a trip to my father's in March. I wrote all the different prices/dates/etc down and made sure I wrote the total cost including fees & taxes.
LONG story short....when I decided the one I wanted, I screwed up and put in the wrong departure date, endin gup costing me $100 more!!
I did (thankfully) purchase trip insurance, but when I called them they said that they cannot cancel and refund money just because.
What (if anything) can I do?????
Please need help ASAP!!!

Oh, it was purchased online with USAirways. I am currently on hold with my back (Commerce 24/7 Customer Service) to see if I can cancel the charge which is still a pending transaction.

With some airlines, you can go online and change the dates right away. We have done it with Jet Blue and South West. With Southwest right after we made the reservation we realized we could leave the day before cheaper... we signed onto the site and swtiched the date... we got a credit for the airline though, not a refund.... still better than nothing.

Thank you, but this was almost 48Hrs ago, and I cannot change anything without paying more $

We have done it while we were on vacation at no charge. Try searching the website.... I've never done it on that airline though... good luck

DH did this recently and because we booked through Expedia and called within a few mnutes, they waived the fees. If the airline won't waive the change fee, there is probably nothing you can do. Try asking for a supervisor.
