Finding out the sex
I can't wait to find out the sex so my regular OB appointment is Thursday, I will be 18w6d. On Monday I am going for my Level II. Do you think my doctor would be able to tell the sex on a regular sono at my Thursday night appointment? If not can they confirm it on Monday's Ultra Sound?
Also, any tips on keeping the baby active so it's cooperative?

Re: Finding out the sex
You should definately be able to find out the sex. I found out by regular sono at my doctors office at 13 weeks 6 days. I drank orange juice before the appointment & the baby was going crazy kicking & spreading her legs. I heard it is because of the sugar. Whatever it was it worked! Good luck.

Okay, great! I am definitely going to try that. My only concern is my doctors appt. is pretty late in the evening, 9pm so I hope my little one isn't sound asleep. Hopefully the OJ will do the trick, thanks again!

They can tell at 18 weeks... but at most offices it is not common to get a sono at 18 weeks. Are you definitely getting one?

My OB does a sono at every appointment. When I go for the Ultra Sound I am assuming they can see the baby on the screen, I hope they can tell me. I know a few people who are due after me and already know what they are having.
