It's always been available, just very hard to get. Any major store gets regular shipments, but you need to contact the store, find out when they get more stock, and hope you can get one of the ones that they have.
I'm hoping supply meets demand by spring, since I want to get one for DS for his b-day....

Ang, since you're in the city during the week, try the Nintendo store in Rock Center. Now that the holiday is over, I'm sure if you call and ask when their next shipment is they can maybe put one aside, or at least you can know when to go there.

As much as I know is as much as I don't know...
The above posters are correct...
Sign up for wiialerts.com and/or monitor your local stores...Take the extra sgtep and ask them when the next shipment will come in. If the Wii is very important to you, you will have to wait in line on that shipment day to get one.
If you see wiialerts pop up and its avaiable to buy online, you have mere seconds (maybe a couple of minutes) to get to the site, enter your info and order...
That is the best i can do...they are regularly avaiable and sell out as soon as they come in...good luck...
