Re: Dentist

I don't think you can have any novacaine either. I would just tell your dentist you are pregnant. you should also go for cleanings every 3 months while you are pregnant.

Re: Dentist

Call them tomorrow & tell them you are pregnant- most likely they will need you to bring a medical clearance letter from your OB that states if you are allowed xrays (you'll probably be allowed 1or2 if they suspect a cavity-they put 2 of those lead aprons on you), novacaine(you can have the novacaine, but it cannot have epinephrine in it) and what type of antibiotics/pain meds they can prescribe. I broke a tooth 2days after my BFP and wound up w/a root canal, so I had several dental appts early on. GL

Re: Dentist

I went to the dentist when I was in my first trimester. I let the doctor know that I was pregnant and they assured me the novacaine they used was ok for me to have.

Re: Dentist

I'm going to the dentist on Wed too! I will just tell them I'm preggo when I'm there.

My OB said one or two dental x-rays are fine to have.

Re: Dentist

Interesting. I was told not to go to the dentist in the first trimester. But I guess since you're going for a cleaning it's okay.
