Paint question.....
My Dh and I are planning on painting the nursery in the next two weekends. Is it safe for me to paint? The guy at the Benjamin Moore store said that they have a paint that smells less. Just wondering....

Re: Paint question.....
I think you just need to make sure the room is really well ventilated and maybe wear a mask.
Personally I left the painting the DH and I did all the decorating
Have fun!!

This is my plan as well. I personally am not a fan of painting anyway, so being preggo is a great excuse for me to get out of it!

Re: Paint question.....
I helped paint the baby's room. I just made sure the windows were open and took it slow.

Re: Paint question.....
I just painted our nursery this weekend, finishing up today. The paint he's speaking of is the Aura paint. Even without the lesser smell, I'd highly recommend it - it's far superior even to the other BM paints.
I'm not one to worry about that stuff but if you're unsure, give your doctor a call and see what they say.

Re: Paint question.....
Call your doc and ask about this. DH and I recently purchased a house, moved in and painted the entire house...my dad helped and I wore a mask and stayed out of those rooms while they painted.

I wouldn't take a chance unless you really love painting.

Re: Paint question.....
The BM paint with the low V.O.C.s is very good paint! Even if you have DH do it all, it is nice not to have the smell in the house and to be more environmentally friendly!

Re: Paint question.....
I purchased the Benjamin Moore paint for my nursery as well. I am so happy that they offer this. Now just need Ron to help me paint the room.

Re: Paint question.....
If your DH can handle it alone or if you can get someone to help him in your place I'd do that. I went to my mom's for the day when the nursery was painted and even with windows open all day the smell made me really sick when I got home, and I didn't have much morning sickness with my first pregancy.

Re: Paint question.....
We're painting this weekend. Actually, I should say DH and good friend will be painting - I will stay away for the day and shop!
