food question
this may sound dumb, sorry! i know that if you are PG you shouldn't eat cheese that is unpasteurized, like blue cheese. well what if the label on the cheese says "made from pasteurized milk" - is that the same as the cheese itself being pasteurized?? TIA!

Re: food question
I'm a firm believer of everything in moderation! I ate fresh mozzarella during the holidays I wouldn't go eating the full block of blue cheese , although the temptation would kill me!

Re: food question
That's a good question- I assumed yes, but I wonder if the sheese needs to be repasteurized after becoming cheese? Eek- I will be in trouble- I eat my Americas Choice reduced fat feta like it's my job...

Re: food question
As long as it says it's pasteurized on the package - chow down! The true concern with soft cheeses lies in restaurants (or overseas!) when it's fresh cheese and you can't grab a "label" to read if it was pasteurized or not. Store-bought, already-pasteurized cheeses, are usually just fine.
Of course, if you worry, keep it all to moderation. That's perfectly fine, too.

Re: food question
I am not really sure. I would ask the doctor before eating it

Re: food question
I eat feta and fresh mozzerella when I am in the mood for it. But that's me. You do what you feel comfortable with.

Re: food question
I made the assumption if it says pasteurized on the packaging...it's okay! (I'm no MD though!) But, I ate it on Christmas and DS is still kicking away!!!

Re: food question
If the cheese is made from pasteurized milk then it is ok.
