March mommies, what do you have done?

With our house hunting I am realizing that that we have nothing done yet for baby's arrival.

When should be get stuff we need when baby arrives.....car seat, crib, swing, diapers, etc.?

ARE YOU 100% sure you are not having a shower?
I know you mentioned that you weren't but are you SURE?

I'm sure! We are in NC....no one is down here and I don't plan to go to NY.

We had a SMALL wedding & I did not have a wedding shower either. Just a very small dinner, no presents. Did not have a bachelorette party either.

Our In-laws are getting the stroller and I think my mom is getting the crib/furniture set when we get a house.

Since we are in an apartment now we are only going to get the co-sleeper now.

We've basically done nothing. The babies room is being used for storage at the moment and everytime I walk in there and see the crap piled to the ceiling I get overwhelmed, walk out and shut the door.

Honestly...I have nothing done. I picked out my furniture but haven't ordered it yet. I started registering but never finished. I haven't even picked a name yet!!!! We can't agree on anything...he likes traditional...I like different. As soon as the holidays are over I need to get a move on it!!!!!!!!!

I am on 5-6 waitlists for daycare in September 08. I am going tomorrow to look at some of them.

The nursery is painted and furniture is ordered (so far we have the glider).

I booked the baptism for June 08.

Researching cord blood but haven't settled on it yet.

I'm mostly registered - have a few things to add. My shower is probably late January/February.

I have to look into childbirth classes ASAP.

What else should I being doing?!

We have registered, that's it.
We can't agree on which room should be the nursery- I think the larger room (currently the TV room) should be the nursery, bc well, it's larger, and babies have a lot of stuff.
He disagrees, bc of the work involved in moving the TV I am guessing, which is stupid, bc it can't possibly be THAT hard to move a cable line.

Anyway- we haven't even discussed babay names. he toold me he would talk about it last weekend, but gave me nothing. He says he can't "Just pick a name", something has to "strike" him. Ummmm- doesn't my opinion count?

We did decide on a name (long before she was concieved. I THINK we decided on the spelling finally too.

We are going to tour the hospital maybe this weekend.

I have a breastfeeding class and we start parenting classes next month.

I am looking at day care today! To hopefully be put on waiting lists for August.

We have not yet actually met the pediatrician (we go to the OB today, so I was going to ask when to do that). We will most likely use one apart of my DH company, they came referred very hghly by many).

I have registered but thats about it. I am waiting until after my shower to set everything up in the Nursery. Right now its just an empty little room waiting to be filled. I havent looked for a pediatrician yet and I know we probably should be now right? I am not sure where to start.

We are registered for almost everything - but will have to revise based on discontinued items (2 already)

Reserved a space at Day Care for July

Have nursery painted and border up. Need window treatments and new carpet

Ordered Crib - but nothing else.

Working on List of shower invites - but no date selected etc..

Still have to decide on where to do child birth classes.

Choose Cord Blood provider, but didn't do anything with that.

Narrowed down to 3 - 4 names.

I will probably have my shower at the end of Jan. beginning of Feb. Besides that we have:

Registered
Picked a name
painted the baby room and cleared it all out
picked out furniture but haven't ordered it yet
looked into lamaze but haven't registered for that either
send in paperwork for viacord

Oh my gosh - I feel overwhelmed by what I haveto get done versus what I have done:

Thing completed:
* Register - yes
* Shower is going to be at the begining of Feb - we put the down payment on the restaurant, ordered invites. I have to order the favors and decorations.
* Baby furntiure is ordered - shoudl be coming in at the begining of Feb
* I purchased the bedding but have not figured out what color to paint the nursery. Need to order window treatments and border.

Things to do (and its big)
* Refinish basement - its becoming our hoem office (its small and DH and his dad plan on working on it in Jan)
* Clean out the office furniture from nursery and paint nursery
* Have central air installed in Jan - waiting for permits from town

* Bring extra fridge from in-laws over to our house
* Sign up for Lamaze classes (we are picking dates tonight) and baby care classes
* Decide on blood cord

Can't really say we have done much...

We have picked out out a boy and girl name and we HAVE signed-up for childbirth/parenting classes that start on January 7. I also know that my shower will be in February so we need to register sometime in January.

We have to finish the house. right now Ayla is in her own crib but in our room. So I really don't want a cradle and a crib in the room come March. Hey but if it has to be then i will deal with it. No big deal. My DH is in the process of renovating the upstairs. Hopefully he is done before March.

I have registered and bought the crib bedding, mobile etc. which is currently in my garage as I am supersticious and am scared to bring it into the house, oh and I registered with viacord. That is all we have done so far

So far we have:
-registered
-signed up for lamaze & breastfeeding class
-signed up for daycare
-painted the nursery
-ordered the furniture


We still need to:
- agree on a name
- clear out the nursery. It's painted but still has all our office stuff in there
-sign up for hospital tour
-find pediatrician
-buy new car (I have an old Mazda Protege and we are looking at something roomier)
-finish the laundry room (we put in a floor and drywall. We need to finish painting and put in a ceiling)

All I have is the bassinet, travel system, Pack and play, clothing, diapers, diaper bag and some other small things. Otherwise I have nothing done as far as nursery or even putting the things I already bought, together. I start my breastfeeding class on Tuesday and I have already picked out my pediatrician. Now I just have to wait for my shower.

well since this is my second daughter I have 75% things done
We have a great pediatrician-
All her 0-9 mths. clothes are up in her closet waiting to get washed.
All decor for the room, bedding and so on is in the closet waiting to be put up.
We have to move out all the guestroom furniture and put it in the other guestroom (before we do that we have to out a rug in the new guestroom and paint it.
then Put my daughters new furniture in her room and take out the nursery furniture to put in our new baby's room.
We have her name picked out.
Christening planning is under way.
and that's it
