Amnio test
I've been thinking about this, but do you think the doctor will suggest that i have an amnio since my niece is borderline autistic? 
or is it just for Downs?

I don't think they can detect autism through an amnio? I believe it would be able to detect DS and other birth defects.

I had an amnio and they told me it only detects chromosonal abnormalities, and Autism is not chromosonal(I believe)

Autism is on the rise and not genetic that I am aware. But I have found many links on the web about autism

I agree, I dont think Autism will have any affect on whether to do an amnio. It can test for downs, and other genetic diseases.
