robitussin/tussin--HELP!!
I went to doctor and he told me to take plain old robitussin, well there are TEN million different kinds that don't have letters but jsut say couhgh, cough and cold, etc underneath the name...anyway I asked the pharmacist and they said the regular old robitussin has been recalled due to issues with the dosage cups....nothing with the medicine thoguh so she said tussin was the exact equivalent of plain robitussin...the active ingredient is guaifensin...I lookd up on the robittusin website and its the same...did anyone else take this while pregnant, even though doc gave ok , I'm still super nervous....and not 100% I have the right thing.....God I can't wait to take medicine again!!

Re: robitussin/tussin--HELP!!
Are you talking about the generic/store brand one? if it was from CVS, then I took it. I had no problems! I believe that if you want to take the Robitussin brand one, take the one is just the plain Robitussin (not the DM)
Just watch your dosage.
Feel better.

Re: robitussin/tussin--HELP!!
IMO, I think you'll be okay to take it. Especially if the dr. said okay. Just take the plain one. Don't buy the multi-sympton ones, those are the ones that carry the bad drugs that you should stay away from.
Don't worry! just get better!

I HAD to take robitussin when I was pG due to a SEVERE cough. Just take the one WITHOUT ANY LETTERS next to the name.

My doctor told me to take DM. I even have it in writing from my doctor. So that is what I have followed.
