Can I show off my little girl?
We were having a good day so I set up my white blanket and snapped a few shots. The last one may be my new favorite of her.
Hey Barbara....how did I do? Any tips on what to do better next time?

She looks adorable! Pictures came over great. Something else you may want to try to put her on her belly and take an eye level shot or you can put a pillow underneath (by her chest) to prop her up a bit - that works well too.
I'm so glad you guys are getting into photography - we'll have the best photo site for babies!

We have the Nikon D70. Its an SLR digital camera. We are very happy with it. We bought it last year before our wedding and use it a ton.

Did you use the 300mm lens for the pictures you took?

I forgot to switch the lens.
I also have a question. You said to use the portrait setting. If I switch to that I lose auto focus right? I have to try to focus it myself?

I am going to take some thanksgiving pictures on Thursday so I will practice with portrait setting and the 300mm lens
