Baby Clothing for the Hospital?
Does anyone know if the hospital provides clothing for your baby during the stay, or should we bring some things with us? I planned to brink clothing to wear home, but I had the impression that the hospital usually provides clothing during the stay. Is this true?
Thank you in advance!

I actually just got my hospital papers yesterday and read through them. Per NSUH (which I'm sure is the same everywhere), the hospital provides "linens" (t-shirt + receiving blankets) during your stay, you just need to bring the coming home outfit.

You only need an outfit for going home, they provide everything else. They even gave my DD a binky.

Re: Baby Clothing for the Hospital?
hospital put dd in a onsie side button top, and diaper and swaddled in blanket with baby cap,
they told us at lamaze, we could bring cloths but if she went to nursery in, i most likely wouldnt get back. we just kept in hospital stuff.

they will be in hospital stuff and swaddled 99% of the time. I would not bring other clothes, it would be too much of a pain for the nurses when the baby gets checked out.

Re: Baby Clothing for the Hospital?
The hospital typically puts the baby in a side buttoning Tshirt, diaper, swaddling blanket, and hat. My son wore that through the hospital-provided clothes until he came home. Then we put him in his coming home outfit.

Thank you for the responses! As you can tell, I have no clue. I just had visions of my poor baby laying in the hospital in a diaper and nothing else, and tired, stressed DH running to Babies r Us to get some clothing!

Totally your choice but you might want to consider bringing an outfit for the pictures as well. I brought a separate outfit as well as a blanket - they used the blanket for the background which was cute.

Ditto! No need to bring any clothes except for the coming home outfit.

Re: Baby Clothing for the Hospital?
yep, you don't need anything but the coming home outfit.
i was told that they don't like "dressed" babies in the hospital for security reasons also - puts them at greater risk for abduction
