Sausage Bread (sort of like Stromboli)

Someone I work with brought this in today and it was delicious! I had to post to share it!
It makes a perfect appetizer!

Sausage Bread

Preheat oven to 375°

You can us 2 small pizza doughs (1 lb. ea.) or 2 frozen bread dough loaves (thawed) and at room temperature

Roll them into a rectangle shape about the size of a medium cookie sheet.

Spread on some sauce. (pizza or tomato of some kind)

Sprinkle on cooked loose Italian sausage (approx. 1 lb.)

Some chopped onions and peppers (cooked)

Grated Italian (Romano or parmesan) cheese

Mozzarella (whatever you like)

Roll up the dough (jelly roll style) and place on greased cookie sheet

Keep the seam on the bottom

Pinch the ends under

Brush with an egg white wash

Bake until golden brown about 20 minutes.

OMG I used that exact recipe before & it was a HUGE hit, taste really yummy. Did it w/ the pizza dough from the roll

I make this but add chopped hard boiled egg to it and sliced green olives!!

My mom makes this, and it is excellent!!
