When did you tell?

When did you tell your family and friends you were preggo?

Did you wait for 12 weeks? Or did you tell close family earlier?

I have a big mouth and can't keep a secret so everyone knew almost as soon as I did. I waited to tell work until I was almost 12 weeks though.....

Family at 7.5 weeks, work at work friends at 11.5 weeks.

I am superstitious - or at least became so when I got pregnant - so I waited till I was 12 weeks along.

after my ultra screen, around 13 weeks.
I told my mom and best friend right away though!

I told my family within the first week of knowing.

Moms, dads, sisters and brothers- 8 weeks ( 3weeks afetr BFP, 3 days after first sono).
Friends and extended family 12 weeks. Except for those I felt like- like good frineds and random waiters and people on the street.
eta- work- 16 weeks

Parents just before 9 weeks (waited until Mother's day)
Siblings around 10 or 11 weeks

We found out at 4 weeks (on mother's day) and when I called to make a dr's appt they didn't want to see me until I was almost 6 weeks. We were going to wait until then to tell our families, but we couldn't keep it to ourselves so we ended up telling them 5 days after we got our BFP. Then all my work people found out because I had two Dr's appts in 1 week and one of my coworkers was concerned and kept asking me what was wrong because I never go to the Dr. So I told her and she started crying and then everybody else wanted to know why she was crying and it just snowballed from there.

We told them right away, my dh and I can't keep secrets that big!

We waited until after the 1st trimester.

ETA: we told parents immediately, siblings at 8 weeks, but all were sworn to secrecy!

My best friend knew the day I found out. At 8 weeks we told his family and my mom and 2 sisters. At 13 weeks I told my job and I told the rest of my family at 15 weeks.

I think I was 5 or 6 weeks when we told everyone. We didn't mean to, but it just happened. Apparently I am such a boozehound that it is a huge deal when I go to a party and do not partake. I had only known for a week at that time...DH had only known for a few days (I had to wait 4 days to tell the poor guy because I was SO freaked out).

We told our parents at 8 weeks after our 1st sonogram. We started telling friends from about 11 weeks...

we waited 8 weeks - till we saw the heartbeat - to tell our families, and 12 weeks for friends.

Right away! I would never be able to hold it in for 3 months.

Oh, I'd say it was about 10 minutes after I got a BFP!! DH and I took the first ten to stand there in shock together!!

Parents, siblings and close friends got the good news yesterday (5 weeks).

I wanted to wait until 12 weeks for everyone else (work etc) but I'm going to have to tell them sooner. Since I work in an industry that thrives Q4 and I won't be able to pull the all nighters this year. I'll probably spread the good word after Thanksgiving (which will be right after our first sono).
