retrieval tomorrow
hi everyone,
they def cleared me for retrieval tomorrow. they are going to freeze all the embryos so that we can try to implant in January. I am so nervous about tomorrow, I have never had any sort of med surgery or anesthia. Wish me luck. I am hoping that by this time tomorrow the bloating and swelling will have started to go down!

Good luck!!
Don't worry about the anesthesia, you'll get woozy and next thing you know you'll be waking up and its over!
You'll probably feel sore after with that many follicles, but you will start feeling better quickly!

Good luck tomorrow. I was so nervous the first time I had anasthesia. BUt the truth is it happens so quick you dont even know it happened.
PS_ How come they are not doing a transfer right away?

Thinking about you today and hope everything goes well. Hopefully your swelling will go down soon and the transfer in Jan will be a huge success.

She is overstimmed...if they do the tx and she gets pg it will just get worse, so they wait for the symptoms to subside before they do the tx.

I was really nervous too when I went to get the retrieval done, because I'd never been in a hospital-type setting before, never had an IV before, etc. But like everyone said, it'll be over before you know it! DH said that I was back in the room even before he was done with his "business"

Hi all--
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am home finally. the actual retrieval was exactly how you guys said it would be ... I never felt a thing! Unfortunately, I had an adverse reaction to the anesthia. But I am home now and the good news is that they retrieved 45 eggs  can you believe it??? Now we are waiting for the embryologist to call and let us know how many fertilize.
It was funny the nurse told my DH that she had never heard of so many being retrieved.
Cant wait until January 
thanks for all of your good thoughts. It has been great to be able to let you all know what is going on. We havent told anyone that we were even trying-- Thank you!

WOW...45 eggs is amazing. You should have lots of embryo's to transfer in January.
