spinoff to wrong numbers...

DH and i just moved about 3 months ago and got a new # (iO voice). people are constantly calling and leaving messages for "james" and "cathy", despite the fact that our message states you have reached "john" and "jane." i screen calls, but i confess i actually picked up the phone one time and yelled at a woman for not listening to our outgoing message before leaving her own message

We've been in our house for just over 2 years. Apparently the woman that had the phone number before us, decided to change her # and not tell anyone..including friends and family! Because after 2 years, we STILL get phone calls. I happen to know the woman did not move and still lives at the address she did when had our #. We had a message on our machine one day from this woman who said she's been trying to track her down for over a year, and even her cards are returned to her in the mail.

I also know that she is still giving out her old number.

One of these days, I'm going to go knock on her door and tell her to cut it out (she lives in my town).
