can't wait for dinner!!
i made a pot roast that has been cooking since this morning.. just got home and the house smells awesome!!!!
i put some carrots and potatoes in there with it, some beef broth and garlic and thyme... smells awesome! DH needs to hurry up and get home! LOL

yup.. my crockpot. its been on since 8 this morning, and no problems i use it all the time actually... make all sorts of chili's and roasts and stuff. it makes life sooo easy when you don't feel like cooking after work.
i have a dog, too, and i was scared at first. but i really think that they cook at such a low heat thats its not so bad.. and i always make sure to put enough liquid in there to keep it from getting too hot. i also put it on a glass cutting board, to keep the counter frmo getting too hot. i have a friend who's a firefighter and he uses his all the time, so i figure it must be at least somewhat safe
i would get one and try it out when you're gonna be home one day just to get more comfortable with it.... they really are great!

I agree- I haven't used mine yet, but if I ever do, it will be on a Saturday when I am home.
Too scared for the pup!
