Toy alternative for Christmas??
I am really NOT trusting any toy on the market. If it has paint on wood, metal or just made of plastic.
So I just bought ONE toy so far. It's made of fabric (I am assuming it's safe!!!).
What else can I get for a 6 months old baby?

They have lots of organic toys or wood, not painted toys. Also lots of fabric toys.

I am going to get Mikayla one or 2 education toys and then I am putting some $$ into her 529 plan
I think she will only be 9 months old, she does not need tons of toys from us

Agreed. I am not big on buying tons of toys to a child who really does not know any better. I may get him a Wagon also

Re: Toy alternative for Christmas??
Be careful with cloth and fabric toys, too. There have been a lot of recalls on those for safety reasons. Make sure there is nothing sewn on (like eyes), there is no string or ribbon that could come off, it's fire-retardant, etc.

Re: Toy alternative for Christmas??
Lamaze has the CUTEST fabric toys. I saw a bunch at Kmart (but their stuff is overpriced IMO). They have a gigantic octopus that I want to get her. Infantino makes some great fabric toys as well. I'll probably buy a few of those and call it a day. She will probably like the boxes and paper more than the toy anyway

Re: Toy alternative for Christmas??
I found this:
Lead-free toys made in the USA
Remember these from Uncle Goose
Make sure to read the comments though, some readers found out that some of the websites had toys listed that was from China.
