Lauren Conrad’s Reaction to Jason Wahler’s Engagement
When Jason Wahler and his fiancée, 19-year-old USC sophomore Katja Decker-Sadowski, announced their engagement at an August 25 housewarming for their L.A. pad, one reveler wasn’t too psyched: his ex Lauren Conrad, whom he dated on and off for a year.
Despite her congratulations, “it seemed like she wasn’t happy for me,” Wahler tells Us, adding that LC showed up unannounced with Audrina Patridge and the Hills cameras.
“I wanted her to go…There was a weird tension,” says Wahler, 20. “I have to give up a friend until it mellows out.”
For her part, Conrad, 21, tells Us, “I am really happy for Jason and wish them all the happiness.”

Awww. It can be hard when an ex finds someone new and moves on (and gets engaged so quickly!) She dated him for much longer (than his now fiance has been with him), and she never got a ring.

And young! my goodness, why are they in such a rush to get married after only dating a few months? She's still a teenager!

I'm sure it's hard for her, but it seems he had a lot of issues back then and it's a good thing she didn't get a ring from him. Who knows where that would have left her.... I think she's better off.
Happy he got his life together..but his new girlfriend is WAY too young to be getting married. I think they are all caught up in the hype..of the show, publicity etc.

I love Lauren and it's so hard to watch someone you loved move on Even if you aren't close anymore!! I just want to give her a hug, put on Steel Magnolias, and whip out the Ben & Jerry's!!

I am so happy for Lauren! This guy is the biggest loser and even if she doesn't realize it yet, this is the best thing that could ever happen to her!

Hey, I was 20 when I got engaged. We had a long engagement, I was 23 when we got married.
