I know that people believe that the pain is part of the experience. I know you can't drink alcohol and get a tat but what about pain killers? I have loads of stuff around here from the last year.
Your tattoo is beautiful even more beautiful with the meaning behind it.
Artists say not to drink because alcohol thins your blood and you can bleed more. So the same goes with any pain killers.

I have 5 (oh yay I thought it was 4  )
My lower back, right and left sides from hips to bra strap, my whole upper back spread across my shoulders, and an old english V on my right shoulder (hurt the least).
If you want something enough or the meaning behind it is so strong you will sit through anything. After I got my right side done I said I would never get my other side... well two years later I got my whole left side done.
I'm a big baby and yet I sat for over an hour and a half (just about two hours for all of them) like a rock.

You can do it! I was petriefied of the pain. Honestly, yea it did hurt. But this particular tattoo only took 30 minutes. For me personally, I knew I wouldn't be able to watch it so I watched the TV they had set up instead.

Yeah - there is no way I would be able to watch.
My brother passed away 6 years ago and he had a tattoo of a tiger on his arm so I always wanted to do something to incorporate that into it...

It hurt like a motherf... 
I thought I was prepared for the pain therefor in my head I was thinking it wouldn't hurt as much as I thought it would...THAT was a lie!
