What to do this weekend with my IL's?
They will be up from Fla just for this weekend...
DH doesn't want anything to do with the city or the Hamptoms...
Any suggestions?

Go out to lunch; take a ride to Greenport and eat outside at Claudio's...on the way back, stop at some vineyards....the North Fork isn't the Hamptons, right?! Have fun!

this is what we originally wanted to do, but with them coming up on the weekend we figured the traffic would be a nightmare

How about Old Westbury Gardens or Planting Fields in Oyster Bay? Or Sagamore Hill (Teddy Roosevelt's home in Oyster Bay)? Or go walk around Port Jeff?

Take them to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and then the River Cafe...
or into the city for shopping and sightseeing and lunch.

I acutually adore my crazy lady from the bronx, too. MIL...crazy lady from the bronx...both are so endearing.
Does your MIL shopping? You could take her to the outlets! It is supposed to be gorgeous this weekend.
