Salmonella in Veggie Booty--I think DS may have gotten it--UPDATE

A friend just sent this to me. My DS ate some Veggie Booty on 5/12 and on 5/15 he started with diarrhea, which he still has (although to a lesser extent) over 6 weeks later. All of his blood work and stool cultures came back normal although I don't think they tested for Salmonella. We're supposed to see a gastroenterologist on 7/16 since the problem hasn't cleared up yet and my pediatrician doesn't know what could be causing it, but I'm calling my pediatrician first thing in the morning!

Please throw away all of your Veggie Booty!

Update: I called the pediatrician today and he was already tested for Salmonella and didn't have it. Happy that he doesn't have Salmonella, but not happy that we still don't have an answer

Oh wow. I have to throw ours away, syd will be devastated, she loves it!
