HPV and Colposcopy
So...I get the dreaded message on monday from my ob/gyn that she needs to speak with me regarding the results of my pap...but its nothing to worry about. Well, I dont know about you, but if you called me about it, its obviously something that I should worry about. By the time I get the message, the office is closed, I agonized all night and started calling the office at 8:55 hoping someone would pick up. Finally around 9:05 I get through....the dr will be out for the day but if they speak to her, they will give her the message Luckily, I got a call back from dr within about 20 minutes. Turns out I have HPV, which they knew from my last pap....would have been nice if the nurse practitioner who I saw last year had let me know that I had it! My pap came back normal so they arent too worried, but its still scary, there is always that chance that it is something! So, I was scheduled for a colposcopy today, it was a little uncomfortable but not painful, I will know the results a week from now, but I imagine its going to be a long week! I know so many people now have HPV, please keep my in your prayers that I will be ok
