Newborn Congestion
Looks like Lucas has this - the doctor said to use saline drops but the poor guy still struggles while he sleeps.
Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

DS had it and still gets it. I bring him to my ped and have his nose flushed out. I used to put saline drops in his nose too.

Saline drops and snot sucker helps....also put a humidifier on to help moisten his nasal membranes. Elevating his crib mattress or a sleep positioner can also help.

if I run the humidifer, do I have to keep the windows closed? what about ac?

i agree with the humidifier - but what about elevating where the baby is napping - make sure he is not completely flat on his back - elevate his head/ back with an extra blanket....it should help
