What's the nicest thing someone has done for you "just because"?
For no apparent reason other than they were thinking of you?

When DH and I first started dating, I was commuting into the city. DH would leave me presents on my car at the train station with notes...There would be a note saying "Check over your left rear tire!" and there would be a box of chocolates or jewelry (nothing great since it could be stolen lol!) or a few roses on top of a tire...Just knowing he was there trying to make my day nicer was a wonderful feeling.

I can think of 1,000 things people did for me while I was on bed rest for 3 months - everyone went out of their way and were so thoughtful!
Diana1215 went to Fortunoff to buy me my entire bedding set because we had just bought a new bedroom set. She then brought it over and helped me get my entire bedroom set up. Such a great friend!

This might sound random and like no big deal, but 12 years later, this still means a lot ot me --
But I used to do theater every summer in middle and high school and the auditorium in which we rehearsed and performed was not air conditioned.
I was a lead in my last summer and I remember how much I looked up to the older kids who got to play the big parts - it was really endearing to see the younger ones look up to me like that.
On a particularly hot afternoon during rehearsal (it must have been over 100 degrees with the heat under the lights), I came off stage and one of the younger girls in the cast was waiting for me with a cold wash cloth for my face. It was too sweet.

Two of my good friends, special ladies that I met on LIW, sent me a care package in the mail because they knew I was down. They totally made my day, week and weekend. They are the BOMB.

Well, not for no reason at all but I have a friend who is checking on me very often and sending me cute e-cards and greeting cards now that I am pregnant. She knows that I worry about things going wrong and she keeps making sure I am okay. Thank G-d she is not an annoying type because I am enjoying all this contact with someone who is usually very busy (and still is but she is making a special effort).
